Michelle Hunter's Building Blocks Afghan is a great way to learn new skills while you make a cozy blanket!
Learn increases, decreases, cables, lace, slip stitch patterns, how to read charts, blocking, seaming and more! You will, of course, also learn tons of tips and helpful hints as you knit your way to this lovely afghan.
Skills: You must know how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off in order to take this class.
Materials
Yarn: 1400 yards of worsted weight yarn.
Universal Deluxe Worsted, Berroco Comfort, Berroco Vintage, Berroco Pima 100 and Malabrigo Rios are great choices.
Needles: To achieve a gauge of 16 stitches and 20 rows = 4" - US size 9 (5.5 mm), 24" circular.
Accessories: Cable needle, tapestry needle, stitch markers, row counter.
Any supplies purchased from The Local Yarn Store for use in this class will be discounted 10%.
Please be sure to have your supplies in hand before the first session!
